Your bedroom is the first room you wake up in and the last room you see before going to sleep everyday.
And yet, it's the last room that we pay attention to when it comes to decorating.
If you're like most people, you probably put off decorating your bedroom because you think it's going to be expensive, or you just don't have the time.
And besides, what's the point when noone is going to see it anyway... right?
Well, you see it. Everyday. And you deserve to treat yourself to a well designed room... even if you're the only one that sees it. Beginning and ending your day with a room that appeals to your design tastes can really make a difference.

1. Paint your walls a color that you love. Remember, this is your bedroom and noone else is going to see it. So, give your room a splash of color you love! If you already have bedding you like, choose a color from the fabric and put it on the walls.
2. Dress your bed in fresh sheets and bedding. The bed is easily ignored... and it's the most important piece of furniture in your bedroom. Go out and get your bed a new comforter and bedskirt.
3. Move your bed to allow an open entry way into your room. If your bed is against a wall that has the bed "blocking" the entry way... move the bed. This will open up the room and it will feel more inviting.
4. Add task lighting. Add table lamps on each side of the bed... and a floor lamp by a chair. Overhead lighting is just not enough.
